Musk broke his own AI bot trying to tell it 'white genocide' is real

Elon was mad that Grok couldn't defend Trump's resettlement of white Afrikaners. Now Grok changes the subject to white genocide every time you ask it about anything.

Hi guys. We seem to have made it through another week of the regime, though I am recovering from a bad oyster I ate in New Orleans over the weekend. I realized as the last one was already sliding down my throat that it tasted pretty off, and a headline flashed before my eyes about a Florida man who died in 2022 from eating bad Louisiana oysters. My poor friend Lorena, who was sitting across the table just trying to catch a vibe, had to watch me try to cough the whole thing into a napkin like my life depended on it, and I spent the next several hours dramatically waiting to die. Didn’t die but still queasy.

Oysters should not be that big, for one thing.

Today I’m here to talk about Elon Musk causing a hilariously embarrassing glitch in Grok, his own AI bot, because he was mad that Grok kept answering people honestly about Musk and Donald Trump’s false claim of a “white genocide” happening in South Africa.

To back up a bit, Trump announced earlier this week that he was giving white Afrikaners refugee status to expedite their resettlement to the United States. We’ve already accepted a shipment of 59 of them, while turning away basically all refugees of color and purging the country of Black and brown immigrants. We’ve completely ended refugee admissions from Afghanistan, Sudan, and the Republic of Congo. Asked on Monday why the South Africans’ applications had been processed faster than other non-white groups, Trump said a "genocide” was taking place against white people—a far-right claim that has been widely discredited. "Farmers are being killed, they happen to be white, but whether they're white or black makes no difference to me,” Trump told reporters. Okay buddy.

Trump appears to interpreting post-apartheid land redistribution in S.A. as white people being replaced and destroyed. And considering that Trump would probably not be able to locate the nation on a map, this is is clearly a story he’s been fed by Musk, who attended an all-white school in apartheid South Africa, grew up amid the collapse of white rule there, and is, unequivocally, still a neo-Nazi. (As an aside, Trump pretending to care about a fake genocide while trying to accelerate a real one in Gaza so he can put a Trump resort there is a perfect encapsulation of his cartoon villainy.)

Meanwhile, Musk is having so much trouble convincing his own AI bot, Grok, to go along with his lies about the supposed mass murder of white Afrikaners that he has apparently broken the thing. (X users go to Grok for relatively unbiased fact-checks and objective answers to their questions; they just tag him and he replies.) It appears that since Elon had to force Grok to add in lines to his answers that support his claims, Grok has gone haywire and started randomly changing the subject to white genocide every time he’s asked about anything.

Y’all—nothing is funny anymore, but I genuinely cannot stop laughing at the incompetence of these rich Nazi dorks.
